From Sightglass:
This limited release from Gatina washing station in Kenya’s Nyeri County is the result of nearly 800 farmers’ hard work. Expect vibrant fruit, subtle florality, and a rich, syrupy sweetness — flavors that have earned Nyeri coffee a spot on our selection year after year.

The Story
Sightglass is a one of the few repeats from last year.
From Last Year:
Sightglass is located on Folsom Street in San Francisco, and during a coffee tour of the city, I pegged Sightglass as the best pour over in the city. Walkable from the train station, I would often find a way to stop by on most day trips to the city.
I remember some of my best friends giving me a columbia bean from Sightglass for a holiday many years ago and falling in love with them.
It was day 3 last year.
Of the coffees last year, Sightglass really stood out to me, so I wanted to bring them back. This year’s selection is washed, and I believe this is the only fully washed option from this year.
I’m particularly fond of African coffees. My house is a blend form Olympia (the one used in last years box Little Buddy). Excited to try this from Sightglass and see how it compares with others.

BAM! WOW! This coffee got me this morning. Intense flavor from the first sip. The espresso is dark (well, medium-light, like the roasting note says, but it is strong). I get more chocolate than past coffees, but there is a subtle fruitiness for me. I like this both with milk and without. I have been struggling with the book notes for figuring out what salty taste like, but I feel like this coffee has educated me. The linger is also longer on this one. Anyway, a little bit different the rest of the natural, super fruity coffees we have been trying, but I really like it.
