Day 5: Olympia Coffee - Little Buddy
The Story
I honestly don’t remember the first time I heard of Olympia. Whenever I drive the coast I’m always trying to stop at this place. I seem to remember when they were a small little roastery and looking at their site now they now have a bunch of cafes on top of roasting a wide variety of beans.
When I started the idea for this box I knew I wanted to include them. Thinking maybe not everyone has tried this place.
Also, while much of the coffees in this box are single origin’s, this one is a blend. Still from Africa and still of a lighter roast, but blended.
About The Beans

Named after a teenager’s first car, this blend of African coffees takes an inexperienced palate to new places in a vehicle that’s fun and exciting to roll with.
Feedback
From Zack
The first taste is sweet. I get the fruit. This is a fruity coffee and hits where I was going with the curation of this box. I got the tasting notes provided by Olympia. I’m a fan. Again, I prefer the coffee without milk, but even with a splash of milk, the sweetness comes through. I get a tang similar to yesterday, but instead of being upfront, I get it a little further back on the palette and a little later in the sip.
